About The Author
Laura G. Kaschak writes dark fiction for both adults and young teens, including the “Shadow Squad” book series. Her chilling short stories have been featured in many dark fiction anthologies. She grew up in the pine barrens with the constant companionship of the Jersey Devil and now lives in Virginia wine country, successfully fooling everyone into believing she’s a grownup. My style
In a style similar to classic Twilight zone or Tales From the Crypt episodes, my stories are dark in nature. However, my approach reclaims horror as a medium to confront the patriarchal system, amplify women's lived experiences, and explore feminist ideas through the lens of suspense, dread, and transformation.
